"CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!"

I got an e-mail yesterday from (edited) that began with that statement. It went on to invite me to join the September orientation and training class for (edited)!!!! I am SO excited!
I wasn't expecting to begin training until January, at the earliest. I definitely was not expecting to begin training so soon. CRAZY!!! The class begins Sept. 15 and is 6 weeks long, after which I get a couple weeks to tie up loose ends, and then it's off to some country I've chosen. They said I get a list during the first week of training of countries where they need people, I rank order my favorites, and then they let me know if I get one of my top picks. Neil has recommended Argentina or Japan. We'll see. Where would you go? I called (edited) today to ask a few more questions, and they told me they need people everywhere, so I will most likely get to go to my top pick! INCREDIBLE. Life is so funny.

Thanks! Good thing I have a blog on which to keep you posted as to where I am/what I'm up to :) Visits will always be welcome, too!

Yes, it is WAY too early to miss me. I hate long goodbyes, so let's just pretend I'm not leaving, OK? Except let's hang out more.

CONGRATS!!!! and yes, um, now that you wont be needing the other route, can you tell me (sorry, again) how to do this one?!
I'm so jealous and want to do it too!! Um, i'd pick Spain in Europe or Singapore for Asia route. I <3 them both!

Thanks, NG. We can't all be environment-saving heroes like you :) Now I MUST make my way to NYC for a weekend.

Ali, thanks, we will def try for Argentina. I'm glad you'll be back before I leave. Enjoy the beach for now, though!

Digger, nice to "meet" you and thanks for the congrats.

Oh, and Mel, for sure you should try the other route! Any time you want to talk about it, let me know -- I am thinking of doing it for the heck of it, too. Yeah, Spain would be awesome since I already speak a little of the Spanish. Never thought of Singapore. I really want to go to Africa, but Neil doesn't! I told him I need to go "home." ;)

I know your trying to make a difference in the world...Thats great but I'm really worried. Does this mean no Disney World? Really though that is so wonderful, way to fulfil your dreams. I'm still working on the update but until I respond in detail things are good, growing and good. We can't wait to see you guys!

Glad things are going well, Lacey! I can't wait to see you guys, either. Thank you for the congrats. I did consider declining the job offer, because it will interfere with our Disney World plans! Who needs to see the real world when there's Disney World? Now I'll never get to go! :(
