Sleeping through the night despite a certain mom's insistence on taking photos of the sleeping ... I'm not sure Owen has slept through the night a single time in 12 months. Part of that is my fault, though, because he still sleeps in our bed. Are those sock shoes in the top photo? How cute!
Well, Brooke, I sent you an e-mail describing how we did it -- and Z.M., it did involve never having her sleep in our bed :/ Which is sad, because she's so sweet I would love to have her sleep by me! Yes, sock shoes, they are the cutest, but her feet are too big for all of them! Brooke, your little baby girl may getting some hand-me-down sock shoes :)
Oh how sad for you. You aren't getting to bond with your child in the middle of the night anymore. And you're missing out on the awesome mental conditioning that is six months straight of interrupted REM sleep.
Haha, of course after I post this she woke up at 4 and 6:30 two nights ago, and at 6:45 this morning. I'm going to blame it on a growth spurt ... but luckily she always goes back down to sleep. This is a departure from the screaming and crying every single night for the whole first month. And yes, that was our method (crying it out), which I know not everyone agrees on, but now she doesn't cry at bedtime anymore and we're sleeping beautifully from 9 till the morning :) And yes, Neil always has to ask me whether she woke up or not. The guys have it so easy!

I will try not to be a hater and simply say, that's great!
