This is the view from the 26th floor of our hotel, where they held (free!) high tea (fancy finger foods, macarons) from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and happy hour (complete with heavy appetizers) from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
I just have to say that looking out on this view really puts me in a good place. I think I like the safety of knowing people are all around, and creature comforts, and 24/7-ness of cities. This could have been a view of the city in Buenos Aires -- similar buildings, lots of green space. This is not what I envisioned before I came to Bangkok. I like it.
